Remedial Massage Therapy is the systematic assessment and treatment of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to assist in rehabilitation, pain and injury management.
An initial assessment is carried out to ensure the dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system are identified and that the correct treatment plan is put into place moving forward. Within this initial assessment there may be a requirement for a referral to a Physiotherapist, General Practitioner or other Allied Medical Professional; this is to ensure that your Remedial Therapist only works within their scope of practice. We may be highly skilled within Remedial Therapy but your needs always come first to ensure a correct plan on your road to recovery.
Remedial Therapy is defined by the premise that the treatment can reasonably reverse certain physical effects a patient may be presenting.
The question we are asked most is, Can I claim on my Health Insurance and get a rebate?
If we complete a full Remedial Treatment and you are with a Health Provider that we are covered with, then the answer is yes!
